Due to the integration of global economy and the demand of customers becomingdiversified, the change of enterprise’ competition environment are speeding up, then asingle enterprise can not response to the needs of the users effectively and rapidly. Therefore the supply chain, which is established by upstream and downstream enterprisesjointly, has become effective organization to coping with competition. The supply chainhas higher requirements about the ability of process optimization and rapid response. As ashort life-cycle and highly time-sensitive product, the supply chain of perishable productshould especially jointly cope with the changes of competitive environment. In order toimprove the service level, satisfy the needs of customers and improve performance, supply chain must be adopted advanced information technology and inventorymanagement technology to strengthen the information sharing among enterprises andimprove the market response speed. Many enterprises actively promote the application ofRFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology in supply chain. However, in additionto the benefits, RFID technology also increases the operation cost of supply chain.Because the RFID tag can be used for many times, the cost and profit of enterprises insupply chain should be coordinated, so as to realize the win-win situation betweenenterprises in supply chain. This paper first expounded the topic’s research background, significance and presentresearch situation; then in order to have a better understanding of the RFID technology, the application of RFID technology in supply chain management were introduced in thispaper, and especially the applications of RFID technology in supply chain in the differentlink were described in detail. Concerning the fact that the RFID technology in the societyhas not been widely used, this paper also analyzed the problems of RFID technology inthe application process. Finally, this paper studied the supply chain coordination from theaspect of supply chain inventory management, shelves response speed of RFIDtechnology. For the problem of supply chain enterprises’ inventory data inaccurate, the supplychain system in a concentrated decisions and supplier and retailers’ order (the productiondecision) model were established taking into account the two kinds of situations of usinga RFID technology and do not using RFID technology. The optimal strategy was analyzedin decentralized decision. By analyzing and comparing the optimal income of using and not using RFID technology, the application conditions and strategies of RFID technologyin the supply chain were determined. Further the supply chain coordination model topromote RFID technology application was set up, and the co-ordinate conditions ofupstream and downstream enterprises were gave out. Finally by the example analysis, theeffectiveness of RFID technology’s application strategy and supply chain coordinationstrategy were verified.Retailer’s shelves replenishment corresponding velocity affect other supply chain’senterprises benefits by the retailer’s effective demand in the supply chain. Relying onshelves replenishment response speed, the usage of RFID technology on shelves forreal-time monitoring is considered to meet the actual needs of customers. The supplychain system in concentrated decisions and optimal decision model of retailers, andsuppliers in scattered decisions were established. The conclusion is-although the scatteredRFID tag decisions cost sharing method can make supply chain enterprise get Paretoimprovement, but can’t make supply chain enterprise to focus on the optimal decisionsstate. Finally, the wholesale price of its joint contract with suppliers was adopted to makethe supply chain to the state of coordination, and the supply chain coordination conditionwas concluded, at last the effectiveness of coordination was verified by further example.
