Runing data of CNC machine tool and field production data is the basis of plant informatization.Difficulties in collection these two types of data firstly need to be solved in the process of plantinformatization. It is difficult to find a unified and effective scheme for collection data of CNCmachine tool and shopfloor because of the heterogeneity of CNC machine tool and the complexity ofproduction resources. Therefore, the research and development on data collection system of CNCmachine tool and shopfloor will produce practical significance.Firstly, research status, existing problems and trends of the data collection methods of CNCmachine tool and shopfloor at home and abroad is summarized. Based on analyzing the demand of thedata collection of CNC machine tool and shopfloor, a distributed collection and centralizedmanagement of collection scheme is proposed. In the scheme, the embedded data collection terminaland handheld mobile data collector is the platform for the collection and the PC is the managementplatform.Then, the implementation technology of the scheme is researched in details, including theimplementation of the methods of data collection of CNC machine tool and shopfloor. Data collectionof CNC machine tool uses two methods based on electrical schematics and OPC specification. Themain task contains: hardware platform of the embedded data collection terminal is built; collectioninterface circuit is designed and developed; and the drivers of I/O and A/D, data collection program ofCNC machine tool based on the electrical schematics, data collection program based on the OPC DAspecification and data collection program based on OPC XML DA specification is designed anddeveloped. Data collection of shopfloor incorporates RFID technology and barcode technology, andits main task contains: the program of information collection of work attendance check and work inprocess based on RFID and the program of quality information collection of workpiece based onbarcode is designed and developed.Finally, the functional modules of the management system are designed. And each module of thecollection system is tested in order to validate the effectiveness of the developed system.
