Design And Implementation Of Servo Indexing Device Control System

Servo indexing device is used to realize the circumferential direction of intermittent dividingmovement of the organization. A servo control system of indexing device is designed in this paper,which can be used commonly and independently. In this design cam profile is replaced by digitalcontrol system with high repositioning precision and high flexibility. Servo indexing device had beentested in CNC for glass molding.First, the shortage of the traditional indexing device was pointed, and the advantages andnecessity of the servo indexing device were pointed. Then the performance of the indexing servocontrol system was descripted. The full-closed ac servo drive technology was proposed based on theperformance indicators. Then the mathematical model of the device is established.Second, based on the performance requirements, the movement curve of the indexing device isplanned. So point control problem was changed into tracking problem. The future output signal andinterference signal of the system were known, and the system had the character of large load and largeinertia, so we designed preview predictive controller. And the control algorithm had been simulatedby MATLAB. The high dynamic response and high tracking accuracy and robustness was verified bythe simulation results.Finally, the engineering realization of the control system was introduced detailed. With digitalsignal processor (DSP) as control core, we completed the hardware design and software design andPC man-machine interface design of the servo dividing device controller. At the end, the servo divingdevice was applied in the actual glass molding machine, in order to test and verify the performanceindicators of the control system. Test results showed that the design control system can meet theperformance of the proposed requirements.
