This paper mainly expounds the developing history and technique of AC Servo system. It studies the mathematical model and control method of AC permanent-magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) servo system. From the view-point of engineering applications, it studies the system structure of high performance AC servo system, the design theory of software and hardware to improve the control precision and performance strategy of servo system.This paper analyses the mathematical model of AC permanent-magnet synchronous motor, from the view-point of engineering applications in detail .It analyses and studies the different ways and effects of decoupling control , and points out the efficiency of current proportional type of decoupling control.The software and hardware realizing scheme of high performance, AC servo system based on the digital-analog mixed type of 16 bits high performance, single piece micro computer 80C196 is presented in this paper. It expounds the theory and method of system design for industrial applications, and it also gives out the situation of system industrial applications.Based on the analysis of the influential characteristics of servo system, the method of improving the system precision, estimative model of loading torque and instantaneous velocity, compensative predictive control under low speed motion are dicussed in this paper.The based on discussing regular design method of servo system, this paper tries to use the self-learning ability of neural network, to solve the nonlinear, undetermination and the changeable parameter in AC servo system. It advances two kinds of control strategy, one is based on the AC servo system adaptive pole disposal control of passing-back neural network in motion, another is based on the servo system predictive control of neural network inverse model . It gives out the system simulation and experiment results ,and states clearly their possibility and effectiveness.
