Research Of Automatic Water Meter Reading Technology Based On Wireless Sensor Network

With the rapid economic development in China and the growing amounts of water meters, thetraditional way of manual remote meter reading has failed to keep up with the pace of socialdevelopment. Automatic meter reading system collects and deals with the information from watermeter spontaneously, which is of significant importance to the improvement of economic benefit andcomputerized management. The article is used to study automatic meter reading system and networkrouting protocol based on wireless sensor network and the main content is as follows.First of all, a wireless sensor hardware node has been designed based on CC2430, which canrealize the function of automatic meter reading. The node with the application of TinyOS operatingsystem to realize the data acquisition and delivery.Secondly, a multiple targeted route optimization algorithm has been put forward based on geneticalgorithm on account of all the inclusive route performance index in the small-scale flat networksrouting protocol. In the algorithm, total network energy, balance in energy consumption and routeexpandability has been taken as design objectives. It turned out that the algorithm improves theutilization rate of overall network energy effectively and the network life cycle.Next, by making analysis on the typical hierarchical routing directing at large-scale network andthen a energy conservation clustering routing protocol CEACA has been put forward. The protocolbased on the number of the adjacent nodes, the mean distance of the adjacent nodes and the dumpenergy of nodes. The simulation turns out that the protocol could not only avoid the nodes of lowenergy from acting as the cluster header, but also guarantee balanced scale and high quality ofclusters.In the end, the automatic data logging system software platform based on wireless sensor wasestablished, which was divided into two. One is used to realize functions such as meter reading,statistical analysis and queries as well as data uploading. The other one is used to realize functionssuch as management of meter reading date, management of charge, inquiring of comprehensive cost.The user can be served by landing platform through network.
