| The meter reading system has great significance in industry control field. The traditional meter-reading has many shortcomings such as low efficiency, high cost,unreliability and so on,which has been unable to meet modem city's requirement.So revolution to the traditional way of manual meter reading technology is of great practical significance. It is an urgent problem to transmit nicely and real time the data to the relevant departments. The Modern CommunicationTechnology and the computer technology uifies in together which can promptly, accurately, comprehensively reflect the use condition of user meter. The paper using GPRS network and ZigBee wireless communication technology, a wireless meter reading system was developed. The whole system consists of the short distance data acquisition subsystem based on ZigBee technology and the system based on GPRS wireless communication technology.It could avoid long distance layout and complex route disturbance, realized to read real time data quickly and transmitdata reliably.The following main elements are researched in the paper:Firstly, by comparing the domestic and international wirelessmeter reading system's history and current situation, the overall design of the wirelessmeter reading system and the system overall framework programme are given. Secondly, the hardware of DTU and nodes of the wirelessmeter reading system under the control of the plane is detailedly designed and the hardware module circuit is completed. Thirdly, the function and structure of software of the DTU are implemented through programming.Then on the basis of ZigBee protocol stack, the function and structure of software of the crew are implemented.The software of the wirelessmeter reading system is designed and the crew and PC data transfer is implemented. Finally, the system hardware and software are debugged, the data communications experiments are done, and the experimental results are obtained. |
