Embedded IOT data acquisition system can be applied to many fields, such assmart grid, home appliance control, precision agriculture and so on. Therefore, theresearch of IOT data acquisition system is meaningful and the application foregroundis expansive. SoPC (System on Programmable Chip), which has the advantages ofboth SoC (System on Chip) and FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array), hasappeared with the fast development of VLSI technology. SoPC provides a new patternfor the implementation of embedded IOT data acquisition system.This paper selects Xilinx new FPGA device Spartan601as the design platform,selects the embedded development kit ISE and EDK as the design tools, and selectsthe VHDL (Very-High-Speed Integrated Circuit Hardware Description Language) asthe design language, provides a SoPC implementation framework of IOT system, andfocuses on the design and implementation of customized IP cores in SoPC.First study and analysis of sensor principle and timing performance based on thesensor performance, the overall system architecture, the degree of difficulty andperformance resources, choose IP core which can be done easily in hardware. Second,study the SoPC design method based on the IP core reuse, and provid a structurewhich based an IP core for computing the core of IOT data collection SoPC system.Finally, focus on the FPGA custom IP core design process, full use of EDA(Electronic Design Automation) tool to designed and implemented the IOT datacollection SoPC system. The design takes full advantage of Xilinx, Inc., as well asthird-party IP core provides a common IP core design, IP core multiplexingtechnology to improve design efficiency, and resource sharing and optimizationmeans a balanced relationship between the speed and resources.IP core in this article include IOT_DS18B20_CTRL, IOT_DS18B20_CTRL,contain the function:collection the temperature,collection the humidity,get the IDnumber of the sensors,configuration the sensors,read the configuration and setup thewarning data.Design custom IP through software emulation and on-line testing, andintegrated into the IOT data collection platform of SoPC. The results show that the IPcore design can be better used in the IOT data collection system, meet the needs of the application, provide reusetheoretical basis and practical experience to the system.
