Cupping Treatment The Clinical Effect Of The Treatment Of Strephenopodia After Stroke

Object:To observe and evaluate the clinical efficacy of electro-acupuncture in treatment of post-strok equinus deformity. Methods:All the patients were collected from China Academy of ChineseMedical Sciences Guang’anmen Hospital Acupuncture Department. There were60patients who met the diagnostic criteria and inclusion criteria involved in this study. All the patients were divided into treatment group and control group randomly. The treatment group received electro-acupuncture treatment while the control group treated by the common acupuncture treatment. The acupuncture points involved Shenmai(B62), Qiuxu(G40), Zhaohai(K6), Yinlingquan(SP9) and Yanglingquan(GB34) pass acupuncture. Measure patient’s ankle joint varus angle, Modified Ashworth scale, Fugl-Meyer assessment scale, Brunnstrom grade, Berg balance scale, functional ambulation category scale (Holden), tinetti gait assessment before and after the treatment so that to observe and evaluate the clinical efficacy of electro-acupuncture in treatment of post-strok equinus deformity.Results:1. There were differences between the baseline and after treatment in both groups in patient’s ankle joint varus angle, Modified Ashworth scale, Fugl-Meyer assessment scale, Berg balance scale, tinetti gait assessment (PO.05). The same differences also existed between the two groups after the treatment (PO.05).2. Both groups had differences between before and after treatment in Brunnstrom grade and Holden (PO.05). But the comparison between the two groups had no of the same scales had no difference (P>0.05).Conclusion:1. The electro-acupuncture treatment can effectively improve equinus deformity patient’s ankle joint varus angle, lower limbs function, gait balance ability and the muscle spasm degree around ankle after stroke, and the curative effects are better than the common acupuncture treatment. 2. The electro-acupuncture therapy can improve patient’s walking ability and speed up lower limbs recovery of post-strok equinus deformity, the efficacy is similar to the common acupuncture treatment.
