The EA therapy haslong-lasting stimulation and quantified stimulation parameters which can improve thetherapeutic effect and expand the scope of acupuncture treatment. The EA therapy isan independent and distinctive branch of acupuncture with better developments andbroader market prospects. The specific work is as follows:1. The research status of EA apparatus has been analysed, the disadvantages ofcurrent EA Apparatus: unsafe using, irrational stimulation parameters, unscientificconstant voltage output and electrical stimulation adaptability has been summed up.2. The mechanism of acupuncture and EA therapy and the musical EA electrictherapy composed of music and EA has been analysed. According to the ‘1/ffluctuation’theory and different music style and treatment efficacies, six musictherapy prescription has been screened out, including "calm music",“analgesiamusic”,“antidepressant music”,“blood circulation music”,“Antihypertensive music”and “fatigue relief music”.3. According to the experimental data and clinical data of electro-acupuncture,technical data of EA apparatus has been proposed. A new intelligent EA apparatus hasbeen designed based on embedded ARM technology and QT technology, which hasPWM therapy and music therapy. PWM technology converts the constant voltageoutput to constant current output which makes it convenient for direct control of the stimulation intensity. Varies of pulse waveforms and music waveforms can overcomeelectrical stimulation adaptability of monotonous pulse.4. Experiments improve that this intelligent EA apparatus has reached the presettechnical insicators, has solved the shortage of traditional EA apparatus based onSCM. The results of insomnia clinical treatment improve that this intelligent EAapparatus has better efficacy than traditional EA apparatus.
