Objective:This project aims to study the effect of the Tuina Manipulation Robot forlumbar disc herniation (LDH), Thus we can make the evaluation of clinical safety andefficacy of the Tuina Manipulation Robot.Methods:60patients diagnosed as Lumber Disc Herniation(LDH) were divided intothe treatment group and the control group by the method of randomized and comparison,30cases of the treatment group and30cases of the control group. The treatment group (30)was treated by the Tuina Manipulation Robot while the control group (30) was treated byTuina doctor. Treatment time: one time a day,14days as a treatment course and totallyneed tow courses.Use the patients, clinical symptom sub-item degree grading, visualanalogue pain scale (VAS) and the tension of the soft tissue as the efficacy index toevaluate. Use the adverse reaction as the safety index toevaluate.Results:60cases allcompleted the whole study. Baseline analysis:two group of patients in terms of gender andage have no significant difference (P>0.05). That is the difference was not significantbetween the two groups. After the two course, both of the treatment group and the controlgroup have a significant difference in terms of patients, clinical symptom sub-item degreegrading, visual analogue pain scale (VAS) and the tension of the soft tissue(P<0.05).Thatis the Tuina Manipulation Robot and Tuina doctor both can improve the clinical symptomsof the patients. Compare the control group with the treatment group, there aresignificant differences in terms of lumbar activity and sciatica (P<0.05). That is Tuinadoctor do it better than the Tuina Manipulation Robot. Except that there is no significantdifference between the two groups (P>0.05). The treatment group, the clinical cure rateis6.67%,the markedly effective rate is76.67%, the effectiveness is16.67%,the wholeeffectiveness is100%. While the control group, the clinical cure rate is6.67%,the markedly effective rate is80.00%, the effectiveness is13.33%,the whole effectiveness is100%. There is no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05) about thefinal result. Conclusion:(1) the Tuina Manipulation Robot is very safe, during the test didnot find any adverse events or adverse reactions.(2) the Tuina Manipulation Robot hasgood clinical applicability and it is easy to use. It can be promoted.(3) The TuinaManipulation Robot should also be studied in simulation of joint movement technique, andthen enhancing its curative effect further.. Combined with the anatomical characteristicsand the physiological and pathological characteristics of the lumbar spine and associatedsoft tissue, the reason is the Tuina Manipulation Robot can alleviate the low back musclespasms, release the adhesion organization, improve the microcirculation of the prominentparts of the lumbar, promote the absorption of inflammation and edema, repair thedamaged tissue, increase pain threshold, improve the low back and lower extremitymuscle strength and restore the mechanical equilibrium of the lumbar spine and tissurrounding.
