Objective: Through this test we want to research and analysis themechanism of ILD and know more about it,in the meantime try to find a newway to diagnosis this disease in clinic.Method: we have fond30patients who were diagnosed ILD duringJan.2011to Mar.2012in No.1Hospital of Jilin University.16cases ofthem was idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF),14cases was sarcoidosis(SA).We chose10non-smoking healthy people as control group.Sputuminduction was done to them by inhalation of3.5%saline with an ultrasonicnebulizer.Let the subjects inhaled Saline orderly2/4/8/16minutes,thengive a pause about1minute after each inhalation,at this time we examinedeach person’s pulmonary function,if any one felt bad,we stopped the test atonce.Make sure that total time of inhalation can not exceed half an hour.Thenwe collected the sputum of each person.deal with the samples in2hours,we made some smears and did the Giemsa-stainning.Finally wecounted the cells and through statistical method to compared the differentcell counts and cytologic classifications in induced sputum among thesample smears.Result:1.The total cell number was significant high in ILD patients thannon-smoking healthy control group. IPF group(4.4±2.3)×106/ml,SAgroup(4.6±2.1)×106/ml,compared with control group: P>0.05.2.Marcophage:The percentage of macrophage of IPF group and SA groupwas lower than control group.(p<0.05). 3.Neutrophil:The percentage of neutrophil of IPF group and SA groupwas higher than the control group.In IPF group there a significant highpercentage of neutrophils(53.3±22.2%) than the control group(p<0.05).4. Lymphocytes:The percentage of lymphocyte of IPF group and SAgroup was higher than the control group.In SA group there a significant highpercentage of neutrophils(12.4±7.4%) than the control group(p<0.05).5. Eosinophil:In SA group there a significant high percentage ofeosinophils(1.9±2.6%) than the control group(p<0.05).Conclusion:1.The cells in ILD patients’ induced sputum is much more than that inhealth people.2.The cells in induces sputum showed that in different types of ILD,therecan be some different in the cell counts and classifications.3.Sputum induction this new way really has some meanings in studyingthe pathological mechanism about ILD.
