This study established rat model of interstitial lung disease through animal experiments, analysed the role of Danshen on interstitial lung disease in rats and its mechanism by detected different angles like pathology, cytokines, oxidative stress and gene expression.Through data retrieval, data analysis, and preliminary experimental results, We selected Danshen as the research object of this experiment. The aimal studies selected 70 clean healthy male Wistar rats were randomly divided into 7 groups: Blank control group、Interstitial lung disease model group 、 High concentrations of Danshen group、 The concentration of Danshen group、Low concentrations of Danshen group、Pirfenidone group、Acetylcysteine plus azathioprine plus prednisone composite group. After three days adaptive feeding, the rats, except Blank control group, were established model of interstitial lung disease by the method of intratracheal instillation of bleomycin, and then were orally intervened of appropriate medication. The rats were sacrificed on 28 th day, and we observed pathological changes of lung tissue of rats in the light microscope, detected the content of SOD, MDA in the lung tissue by chemiluminescence method, detected the expression levels of IL-8, I-type collagen in rats abdominal aorta serum by ELISA, and detected the expression levels of VEGF-mRNA, TGF-β1 of lung tissue by the PCR method.The results of animal experiments show that after the application of medicine,including Danshen, the pathological changes of lung tissue and other measured parameters were significantly improved compared with the model group. It can be concluded from this experiment that Danshen does have obvious therapeutic effect on interstitial lung disease in rats, and the treatment effect can be influenced by drug concentration of it. Its treatment mechanism may be related with relieving inflammation damage of the lung tissue of rats with interstitial lung disease, correcting its oxidation-antioxidant imbalance, inhibiting angiogenesis, ang reducing the deposition of extracellular matrix in lung tissue, and so on.
