ObjectiveClarify the clinical efficacy of Cha’s Manipulation of Cervical Vertigo, and to explore its mechanism, to provide some theoretical basis for the clinical use of Cha’s Manipulation of Cervical Vertigo.MethodsPatient suffering from Cervical Vertigorecruited from the Rehabilitation clinics of Guangdong Province Hospital of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine,60cases were randomly divided into treatment and control groups. Each group has30cases. The treatment group use the Cha’s Manipulation treatment, control group selection of General Manipulation. After two weeks treatment, the effect between the two groups were compared by use Cervical Vertigo’s symptoms and function assessment table and the clinical standard of diagnosis and effect of disease of Traditional Chinese Medicine.ResultsThere was no difference of signification between the two groups of patients in aspect of gender, age, disease duration, syndromes, and other basic information (P>0.05), suggesting a better comparability among them.Comparison between two groups after the end of treatment:the total score of Cervical Vertigo function assessment table had statistical difference(P <0.05); the Vertigo score had statistical difference(P<0.05); that indicate the Cha’s Manipulationcould improving the function and relieving the symptoms of patient with Cervical Vertigo, special in Vertigo, were better than the control group.Intra-group comparison:the total score and individual scores of vertigo and pain of the treatment group had significant statistical difference (P <0.01) and the other individual scores also had statistical difference (P <0.05) after the end of treatment. The control group shows statistical difference (P<0.05) between the end of treatment and before treatment at the total score and the individual scores of Daily life and work capacity, mental and social. And pain score has significant statistical difference (P<0.01).After treatment, the efficacy comparison between the two groups were have statistical differences (P<0.05). It shows the efficacy of the two groups was significant difference. So that it can be considered Cha’s Manipulation have more effective than the general manipulation by comparison the average of Ridit of treatment group (0.425)<control group(0.575).ConclusionCha’s Manipulation have more effective than the general manipulation, it can be used as adjuvant therapy widely in clinical practice.
