With the continuous development of urban construction, the deep excavation isgrowing in increasingly number of scale and difficulty, thus the safety problem of deepexcavation is the major problem in the construction industry.This paper analyzes the safety accidents of deep excavation, sums up the majorproblems in safety management, and puts forward the ideal model of safety managementin deep excavation project combined with safety chain. This model rebuilds and details thetarget of safety management, explains the specific elements which influence safetymanagement in deep excavation project, points out that it will be better to establishprotection system from out to side. For this reason this paper designs a safety controlsystem which concludes organization structure, function support system, performancemanagement system, skills training system and continuous improvement system. Theorganization structure provides organization support for bottom construction personnel.The skills training system can improve the construction and safety management skills. Thefunction support system can provide funds, machinery equipment, materials, tools andinformation. While the performance management system can regulate rewards andpunishments behavior, the continuous improvement system plays an important role insafety management improvement.The safety management of deep excavation project is guaranteed from the wholestage by this system, and the level of safety management is improved.
