As we all know, it has two thousand years of history that glass manufacturing has used molten technology to produce glass since the first century AD before modern technology creating original pieces of float glass. Materials experts believe that,in principle,the original glass made from the float glass production line need to be coated to be used for different purposes,for example,building energy saving glass, automotive glass, display and other digital products. Glass coating is that glass is coated with a layer or multi-layer compound thin film on its surface,thereby the optical properties of glass is changed,and according to different command,different coating materials are selected,so that a variety of colors can not only be showed,but also the transmittance of visible light is changed,and infrared reflectivity and the UV absorption is improved.The subject develops and designs a set of glass coating control system based on S7-400PLC and WinCC software, which applies with the advanced industrial control network, PLC,power electronics control technology and advanced control algorithms,based on the technological characteristics of glass coating control system,with the background of a domestic production line of a glass coating as well as researches and analyses of the glass coating control system.In this paper,for the production characteristics of vacuum coating glass, the two S7-400CPU module was used as the core of the whole control system,and the control difficulty and the implementation process of every subsystem in the glass coating control system is described,such as transmission, servo motor control, magnetron sputtering, vacuum pumping gas and so on. And how to build a glass coating control system monitoring interface on the platform of the PC monitoring software is described, which is mainly used for monitoring all aspects of the production process, displaying the working parameters of device operating status and alarming the system fault.In this system, in order to improve production efficiency of the glass coating and to reduce the rejection rate, combined with production experience of the glass coating, the fuzzy adaptive control PID algorithm is introduced as the whole core algorithm of the system to control the speed of the glass coating. The system is now officially in production, works well,and has completed the designed goal of the system. It is of great significance that the system achieves energy saving and sustainable development promoted by Chinese government.
