Computer technology, control technology and communication technology, which are providing a powerful tool to achieve a high level of automation technology, has brought a far-reaching consequences to the automation of production process. Industrial control system has been developed from the conventional relay logic control instrumentation and systems development to the PLC control system.PLC control system of glass furnace in Qinhuangdao Ruihua factory is an important control system. PLC control with the use of a high degree of automation and high precision control are easy to set up and manage; this PLC control system is a large-scale systems, not only the control points, the type of data acquisition, or the PLC communications are all completely embodies the strong PLC control functions.This paper treats glass furnace as the research object, giving a complete set of intelligent control strategy. Glass furnace temperature, pressure and the thickness of glass liquid is the key of the controller, and this article focuses on a method of temperature control in the system. Based on the analysis of the principle of fuzzy control and classification, we design a fuzzy controller, and through making variables fuzzy, the establishment of fuzzy rules, the establishment of fuzzy control table, de-fuzzy, and so a series of processes, we completed the design of fuzzy controller, programming its software. The main content of this paper is the design and research of the glass furnace temperature control system, including the characteristics of process control system, the design requirements, the hardware selection and the design of software. The establishment of the hardware configuration of temperature control system is the basis for the software design. Anglicizing the several important sub-system of the temperature control system, we design the sub-system design to meet the specific objectives.The AB 5000 Series PLC are chosen to meet the system configuration, which is divided into three stations:the system PLC master station, the system PLC slave station, and the monitoring PC station. Design is based on the Ethernet structure, which achieved good results of communications. The fuzzy controller is designed to deal with complex industrial objects, which is good at practical features; the simulation shows that the controller has high control precision, small overshoot and so on. The control system is able to meet the needs of production, and achieved a good control effect.
