Sino-US Archives Information Service Model Study

Generally speaking, the ultimate goal of file achievement is to supply the usage offiles. The value of files will be incarnated only if they provide utilization. The service,apodictically, is the main content of archives administration, the key to improvestandard of service represent to rebuild the service system of file information.According to the research of relevant theory which contain the archives informationservice model, as well as combine the analysis of the status quo of archivesinformation service in China and America, this thesis concludes the differences ininformation service between China and America, in order to find out our deficienciesof file information service, draw the American merits appropriately, and makerecommendations to improve our archives construction as well.This thesis is divided into four parts; the first part explains the background ofresearch theme, significance, domestic and overseas status and its research method.The second part starting from the concept of file information service, introduces thetheory of information service in China and America. The third part mainly comparesthe different institutions of archives information service in these two countries. Thefourth part focuses on the mode comparison of archives information service betweenthe two countries. Based on the comparison above, this thesis presents the thinking ofarchives development on a broader platform. On the other hand, it analyses thedifferent modes of archives information service between America and China,additionally, it indicates the enlightenment for our archives which from Americanarchives information service aspect.
