The Internet of Things technology is considered as the third wave of the world's information industry after personal computer and the Internet, which is the application expansion of the Internet. It stretches and expands itself based on Internet. The information exchanging is also expanded to any two things. In report<<Internet of Things in2020>>, EPoSS has announced that the future development of Internet of Things will go through four stages:RFID will be widely used in logistics, retail and pharmaceutical areas before2010; communication between things in2010-2015; things are semi-intelligent in2015-2020and things are full intelligent after2020. At present, a lot of IOT related technologies are still in development and test, which are still far away from the target that pervasive combination between different systems,different things. IOT has not been definitely defined yet, who wants to realize that any two things can communicate with each other at any time and any place. IOT has merged the information world together with the physical world. Physical perception of the environment is a very important link. Though it doesn't have a standard specification, the physical perception is always implemented through sensor networks according to the common sense of the Industry and most of the practical applications. Internet of Things is a ubiquitous network. But the traditional wireless sensor network which connected to the wired IP via Sink nodes can not satisfy the basic communication command that any two nodes in IOT can communicate with each other at any time and any place. As the development of the Digital mobile communication technology, the cellular network has almost covered the world globally. And as the deployment of3G and the development of those technologies such as LTE and so on, the cellular network can supply much wider access band-width. Thus, using cellular network as the communication channel between wireless sensor networks and Internet becomes the common sense of the Industry, and the merge between wireless sensor networks and cellular network is a pressing issue in the Industry, which is also a hot research topic in the field.The gateway of Internet of Things is the link between sensor networks and the traditional communication network. As a gateway device, it implements the communication between sensor networks and traditional communication network,the exchange between different protocols of different sensor networks. And it also implements interconnection between wide area networks and interconnection between local area networks. What's more, the gateway of Internet of Things should also supply the function of device management, so that the service providers can manage the sensor nodes and get the related information of the sensor nodes through the gateway and then can realize a better remote controlling.The main purpose of this thesis is to implement a gateway system in the application layer, which can connect the sensor network with the cellular network. The cellular network has almost covered the world globally, and cellular network has a good connection with the Internet through those technologies such as GPRS,3G(WCDMA,TD-SCDMA CDMA2000,LTE and so on, so that through which the sensor networks can access Internet well.
