The open environment of the Internet of Things(IOT) is becoming more open and more service oriented, with a trend of diverse service and network integration, and the perception layer is increasingly complex, as a result, the traditional gateway which works as uploader is difficult to adapt to the current situation of open environment. The gateway must meet the requirements of open environment: comprehensive perception and open perception. The solutions are given respectively.For the purpose of comprehensive perception, this thesis puts forward the concept of convergence layer of gateway, and gives several measures of safeguard such as network management and so on.For the purpose of open perception, the thesis introduces the thought of Software Defined Network to gateway system, by making appropriate improvement to adapt the feature of gateway according to the specific environment and OpenFlow its deficiency or defect; the paper gives the packaging format for data flow in order to adapt to the processing mechanism of flow table; and then it shows a novel structure of gateway based on the ablove idea with a few of exemplary implementation; the paper also lists the typical scenarios of the gateway system with analisis.At last, a structure of a IOT open environment gateway is proposed based on the above ideas, and gives an example of implementation, the typical application scenarios are listed, and gives the analysis of the experimental environment. Through these studies, the gateway system can work together under the convergence layer with a more comprehensive coverage of perception layer, the data platform can control the entire IOT system, and provides a strong support to resource integration and network integration. Besides, the gateway system also achieves the adaptation to dynamic and complex perception layer environment and the support to things to better support to variety of business. At last this paper presents experimental verification of the system in functional and stable aspects.
