Research, China's National Image In The Eyes Of The Chinese-language Media In Thailand

This article analyzes the images of mainland China shown on the World Journal by studying the reports of World Journal from2008to2010. Analyzing the images of China on Thai medias will help us realize the reality and take the right actions. Meanwhile, analyzing the images of China on Thai Medies is also important for us to study the Thai government's policy and attitude on China and Chinese. This article will analyze the quantity, layout, types and content of the repots about mainland China, and will also take some real examples into account to reach to a conclusion.In general, The World Journal displays a positive, fast growing and responsible China, it has frequent diplomatic activities, fast growing economy and a profound cultural background, China and Thailand have strong cooperation based on politics, trade and cultural communication, China has a very positive image in Thailand.This is mainly due to the fast development of China and the stronger influence. Thailand, as a neighboring country in south eastern Asia, has strong expectation to corporate with China on both economy side and politics side, the stronger China is also good for Thailand's developing level of politics and economy. China and Thailand have much in common, Thailand has a big population of Chinese, they also wish to know that their mother country is getting stronger over time, hence, the mandarin media in Thailand will also develop in the future, and will put much focus on the things happing in China.
