With the accelerated process of economic globalization, the business of the port enterprises is increasing. The port circulating machinery tends to develop towards large-scale, high-speed, automation evidently, which is one of the main port handling equipment. With the continuous expansion of the port scale, there is a great variety of large-scale equipment, differs in structure and hours of use among port circulating machinery, which takes difficulties to the daily equipment management. There will be a bad influence on the performance of enterprises, even cause unnecessary economic losses, if the maintenance of defective machinery is not on time. The implementation of the remote monitoring system can significantly improve the management of circulating machinery and strengthen the management standard.The main content and writing method is summarized briefly according to background information of the project and the current international research situation primarily. The knowledge that major types and common attributes of the port circulating machinery has been obtained after the construction of the framework of the thesis, the key technologies of the system development process are introduced, which foreshadow the reference of the following words. A fundamental understanding of the basic situation of the system is acquired according to the document of demand investigation, including: requirement analysis, design of framework of the system, function structure, and database. The physical model of the system is to be constructed after adequate preparation in advance, which is the system development process, including: introduction of data direction in the system, realization of the function modules and so on. The test of the system is made before delivery, which ensures the regular operation of the system at the end.Papers to the practical project, based on the basis of investigation in a large, from the point of view of a global on the construction of the port development to adapt to the needs, meet the practical application of demand flow port equipment monitoring and management system. Monitoring and management system for port circulating machinery is the result which a combination of computer technology, network technology, control technology, wireless communication technology and so on. The use of network of remote monitoring is a computer network technology and remote monitoring of inevitable outcome of the development of technology, especially the Internet technology development, the research based on Internet remote monitoring is with broad development prospects.
