Coke is the essential raw material in the metallurgical production, mainly used in blast furnace ironmaking, nonferrous metallurgy. Coking process, which involves coke oven heating-combustion process, gas-collector collecting process and coke-pushing process, is a very complex industrial process with the feature of multi-input and multi-output. What's more, abundant data are including and lack of effective integration.On the basis of analyzing coking production technology and system requirements, a web based system realization scheme is proposed to implement real-time monitoring for coking process, and a three-layer B/S architecture is designed which contains data service layer, business logic layer and user interaction layer. To provide stable, reliable data source for real-time monitoring system, a uniform data platform is established using the ESP-iSYS real-time database and SQL Server relational database. Then real-time data collection of heterogeneous control systems is realized using the ESP-iSYS real-time database based on OPC technology, and double-calculation of source tags is realized by compiling virtual tags written in VBScript language. Finally, real-time data is stored in the SQL Server relational database based on ESP-i2E software. In order to guarantee the real-time and security of system, TCPPublish service based on TCP protocol is applied to realize the communication between web server and ESP-iSYS real-time database in business logic layer, and the communication between ESP-iTrend and real-time database is realized by calling WebService interface of real-time database based on SOAP protocol. Then ADO.NET technology is applied to realize the communication between web server and SQL Server relational database in business logic layer. Finally, multiregion authorization structure, SSL encryption and other network security strategies are used to ensure the security of system.A web based real-time monitoring system is developed by the framework of ESP-iWeb based on development platform Visual Studio.NET 2003, the functions of which include process monitoring, trend analysis, data query, manual input, real-time report and statistical report, etc. The designed system was applied in experiment platform of the intelligent integrated control system for coking process, and the actual results show that the system realizes the local/remote real-time monitoring for the coking process and efficiently guarantees the real-time and security of data transmission.
