With the development of industrial automation, hydraulic control systems demand higher and higher precision in various industries. With its high accuracy and good performance, digital proportional amplifier has become an inevitable trend. In this paper, according to the recent development status of the proportional amplifier in home and abroad, a digital proportional amplifier is proposed and presented, which has good control performance, high reliability and strong stability. By using the ARM controller and the software instead of hardware circuits, replacing the traditional power driver circuit with PWM anti-unloading power driver circuit, reading and setting the machine parameters through PC human-machine interface, this digital proportional amplifier has improved system flexibility, reduced system power consumption, and the total performance in steady and dynamic states has also greatly improved. This dissertation is divided into six chapters, the main contents are as follows:The first chapter introduces the development and present situation of Electro-Hydraulic proportional technique and proportional amplifier. Then the significance and the main contents of this research are clarified. In the second chapter, by comparing the ARM processor with the MCU, the ARM processor as the master controller and the overall research structure of the digital proportional amplifier is established. At last, the work theory of this amplifier is described. The third chapter describes various hardware modules of the proportional amplifier based on ARM LPC2368, including the main control module, power module, the input interface module, the power amplifier module communication modules, etc.The fourth chapter presents the design of the ARM control software and the human-machine interface, which are separately developed by using ADS1.2 and Visual C++.In the fifth chapter, by using the digital proportional amplifier, several related experiments are completed after the PI and PID parameter tuning. The sixth chapter summarizes the major research work, and the future research is also prospected.
