The feature of marine propulsion system determines the ship’s important technical feature of the ship high-speed, mobility, and cruise ability.The steam-powered is one of ships conventional propulsion. It can provide greater propulsion power, and also provide direct adjustment forward and reverse speed. The steam-powered has a perfect design technical basis, and perfect fatigue resistance of the system equipment. Although Steam power in the power density, system size, system fuel consumption rate relative gas turbine and diesel propulsion system has some drawbacks, it is one of the large ship propulsion types.The thermal control system of steam-powered ships is complex, manipulation of coupling. It is difficult using the traditional method of debugging for research the system control features. Hardware in loop simulation connection system hardware and control method. It solve the research the problem which is the control methods and control features of complex marine propulsion systems.The control principle is complex, and many of its monitoring operation of the system components and monitoring components, and operational processes more complex in steam power system, so it require high quality for human-machine Interface interaction in hardware in loop simulation research of steam power systems.This paper respectively completed the design and development of the one ship steam power system simulation platform for physical and virtual human-machine interaction Console. The task is as follows:1)For research the features of the steam-powered ship control system, design physical simulation control panel.2)Research and development the software of data collection and exchange for physical human machine interface console3)Analysis of reasonableness for virtual human machine interface design by ergonomics theory and steam-powered ship control system simulation performance requirements4)According to the rationality of design, development and design the virtual human machine interface. Through comparative analysis found that the method that use the virtual interface instead of the physical console for the simulation research, could save money and reduce the development cycle, and perfect compliance with system requirements.
