With more and more Broadband Value Added Services, IP flow rate now accounts for 95% of all web flow rate. Because of the mutual promotion of business development and Broadband growth, there will be lasting positional increase. The Broadband which used to be made by copper access technologies is no longer suitable for business development. According to the needs of business development and the Network transformation, optical fiber access net which requires High bandwidth, high anti-jamming, easy Expansion, long access distances etc. is the best choice. It is definitely replace the copper access technologies and be the major web development trend. To carry out the transformation of networking strategy, stretch the optical fiber to all the common users are the common strategy decision that all major business operators would made. However, the FTTX is the specific expression and the achieve goal. PON technology, which can provide all the Broadband that meet nowadays and in future requirement and as well as cost saving on all aspect including equipment, operation and daily management is used in FTTX greatly in communication industry under the common view. EPON, which is one of the PON standard based on Ethernet tech, has good supporting ability and efficiency for IP business. It is a high cost performance choice for those operators who adopt Ethernet tech. with the carrying out of optical fiber, EPON network is greatly deployed.Optical in and copper out is the main optical network construction project in our country. Its successful carrying out would effectively propel the network development. However, it is in the developing process which would definitely co-exist with PON network access and traditional copper access for long time. Corresponding network construction, resource management and business development would be newly re-arranged to support its procedure.I am responsible for network management and IT monitoring, analysis and dispatching work in the optical in and copper out project that Guigang branch of China Telecom carried out in 2011. This article is talking about the business IT support issues of Access network which based on the FTTX and EPON tech. Based on the entry point of FTTX network construction mode and EPON access device characteristics to form a resource management method, analysis of business carrying scheme and discuss the reliability of IT supporting of FTTX business.
