Zoo is an integral part of Urban green space system. The main role of zoo is to keep and display wild animals for people, and knowledge of the masses for animal education, advocate for the protection of wildlife importance, and research activities. Keeping wild animals as well, especially the introduction of alien species and rare, endangered animals, is a complex subject. The task of tracking animal , animal disease control and breeding methods of research have becoming an important subject of zoo.RFID technology is a non-contact automatic identification technology, which using the RF signal to recognize the target automatically and access to the relevant data. The work of identify without human intervention and can work in harsh environments. Using RFID reader to Read RFID chip ID, and transfer of information to wildlife management information system that can achieve the unity of the zoo's animal management, On the one hand, you can track animal diseases, prevent the spread of animal diseases. On the other hand, the animals with implanted chip, regardless of those animals "flow" anywhere, as long as the instrument swept away, you can know their origin, lineage, etc . And For animal mating, using RFID can avoid inbreeding and adverse effects on future generations, to promote standardized management. It also can monitor the illegal trade in animals and escape phenomenon. From a biological point of view, the use of RFID technology can quickly and easily record animal behavior, control the variation of animal behavior, then using benefit to guide the production of human life.Firstly, this paper describes the background of RFID technology which applied in animal management in the domestic, and the theory of RFID. Then, This paper analysis the application and the advantages of using RFID technology in animal management. According to the demand of the management of animals, in this thesis, the author design a system, which have study the RFID position algorithm—Landmarc algorithm, and use this algorithm for animal position management simulation. As well, this paper implements this system to manage animals, which main work is: animal management,location management and access control . Based on these requirement, this paper develop a system of animal tracking and management based on RFID technology. The main development process is as follows: firstly, analysis the needed requirement; Secondly, the overall design is given. The system functions include: animal management, location management, access control management; Finally, do object-oriented programming in oracle9i and eclipse3.3 environment , and develop the system of animal tracking and management based on RFID technology. This system uses B/S mode.
