With the development of economy, people for the pursuit of luxury goods more and more, a substantial increase in the demand for wood, ivory, precious fur products, some unscrupulous traders for the pursuit of profit is indiscriminate deforestation, dynamic plant survival under serious threat. Human resources and wildlife protection consciousness in the continuous enhancement, domestic and foreign have been set up on the protection of wild animals in the society and institutions, these institutions are the most important task is to protect the species diversity of wild animals.One of the most important management methods in the protection of wild animals is CITES, which is helpful for the protection of endangered wild animals. RFID technology is a kind of radio frequency technology, its biggest characteristic is to be able to automatically identify the corresponding objects or objects by means of non-contact, and record the data obtained. The combination of RFID and CITES can greatly improve the recognition rate and accuracy of CITES management in the circulation.In this thesis, the research methods of combining theory and experiment, combining with the CITES appendix species and their products import and export management present situation, the research is based on the process and key technology analysis, and build a wild animal traceability system, including hardware and software design. Hardware design including MUC selection, antenna design, hardware circuit debugging, tag design, reader design, software design, including the development platform and programming environment, reader and tag between the work flows, read and write device driver design. And the system has been tested, the test shows that the reading and writing distance is 100 meters, the average error rate of the read and write is 0.7%, the system has good stability and reliability.
