With the rapid development of information and network technology, and the extending of the network scale, many network multimedia techniques are developing rapidly. In which, the exploitations and applications multimedia streaming services has became one of the hottest research topics. Most of the traditional multimedia providers were in C/S architecture (client-server Architecture), which need the support of server resource and bandwidth. Due to the limitation of server resource and bandwidth, the multimedia streaming services based on C/S architecture is difficult to develop. For P2P technology, we can reduce the issues of server bottleneck in traditional client-server architecture, through sharing resource and coordination. P2P architecture can make the best of bandwidth available and save server costs. Meanwhile, Videos quality is more clear and smooth. So, P2p architecture has a promising prospect. In this paper, study and analysis has been done in three aspects:First, introduce Streaming technologies and p2p technique in theory, and study the transmission scheduling in p2p network in detail. By compare, we find that, different protocols has different advantages in safety, stability, complexity and vigorous.Secondly, According to actual needs, design and actualize a streaming media system based on P2P. The system, which is based on the DONet model of Gossip protocol, have advantages of both C/S and P2P.That takes the most of bandwidth and terminal to promise a fluent, safe live video streaming.Third, test and analyze the system in practice to prove its advantages in bandwidth, realizability, expanding, safety, and so on. Date proof will be afford in this paper for extending and application in future. Constructive suggestions have been put forward for improvement.
