The Design And Implementation Of Peeling Machine Control System Based On PLC

In this paper, scheme, electrical, software are designed for the peeling machine system in Dalian Bright Steel Factory, including project implementation and on-site commissioning. Peeling machine control system are designed and implemented by adopting PLC and remote controller.Two sizing rollers, feeding rollers, cutting tool and carriage motors are driven by DC speed regulators. The innovative use of free connectors in the DC speed regulator achieves the speed linkage of three rollers.The position and velocity of carriage are calculated by the PLC in the console which sends the flying shear control signal to the master PLC. Using synchronous algorithm, materials are cut with precisely fixed length. Also, the analysis and design of three-speed motor drive circuit helps to realize the low, medium and high speed transformation of motor.In the remote controller, PROFIBUS-DP slave station program are implemented to replace the Siemens'remote I/O. The temperature of cutting tool is monitored by the integrated AI, and the pulses of motor encoder and cutting tool rotary encoder are measured, calculating the motor speed, feed rate and so on. These parameters are sent to the master PLC by DP. The distance that material traveled is calculated by the measurement of straightening roller encoder pulses. The opening and closing time of draw-in roller and draw-out roller should be precisely controlled.Finally, with the actual implementation of the project, cabinet design, site construction and commissioning are detailed introduced. Also, anti-noise treatment is analyzed in a more in-depth analysis.After 3 months of equipment production operation, it indicates that the system is stable and reliable. The quality and precision of the material is good, meeting the technological requirements. As the representative of steel industry says, the performance index has reached the international advanced level of the same products.
