Rayon-based activated carbon fibre can be manufactured with complex work procedures under the circumstance of catalyzers. Complex technics determines that process parameters must be precisely controled. The task of this project gives a good control performance with advanced control technologies.Firstly, the system is stimulated with pseudo random signal and the model of the heating stove is established. In this process, data is acquired with the help of PROFIBUS-DP control system; hardware is configed under the help of STEP7 and WINCC. Secondly, the system is identified with the method of genetic algorithm based on data that have been collected.Adaptive control algorithm will be applied here because conventional PID can't run a system with a large pure time delay well. There are three parts in the control system: SMITH predictive compensation, on-line identification and relay auto-tuning. The simulations show that the control system matchs the object well and the control effect is much better than conventional PID.In the end of this paper, how to realize the adaptive control on PROFIBUS is given and OPC & soft measurement techniques are discussed.
