With scientific and technological progress and social development, video surveillance system has been applied to all walks of society, played a role can not be underestimated. Used widely on the market is the image transmission cable network monitoring system, and this system in the rural areas, mountains, wilderness or other occasions unattended is obviously not suitable for use. With the development of computer technology, digital communication technology, network technology and automatic control technology, it is rapidly developed that remote video monitoring technology that combines these disciplines, thus contributing to the monitoring system used in such applications.In this paper, the remote wireless video surveillance system that uses ARM9 S3C2440 processor based hardware platform to develop, is set based on GPRS network remote wireless video monitoring system, which put the camera captured the image information compressed, transmitted through GPRS network to the data center, while a cell phone or email sent to the user, play the role of warings. Data center that is monitoring the server software, for receiving image data coming GPRS module, real-time display and preservation, play PC video surveillance purposes.Firstly, according to the GPRS network constitution, this article gave the structure and function of the entire system, designed a remote wireless video surveillance system. Based on ARM9 processor and SIM300_MMS motion image detection module it completed the terminal system, built a portable motion picture Motion detection program that has embedded Linux system platform, designed the software of the wireless terminal system, for example, designed to send MMS and the establishment of TCP/IP connection. Finally, as the monitoring server, the host computer system software is designed, using VC++6.0 and MFC to write the image receiving procedures, that achieve the image display and preservation of other functions. After system testing and results presentation, the terminal operation is relatively stable, the function was achieved.
