The Monitoring System Of Smoke Images Based On Embedded System And GPRS

With the development of industrilization,dust emission produced by many coal power plants and industrial boilers polluted our environment seriously.But the polluting enterprises locate to those remote areas.It's not convenient to monitor those polluting sources manually.So we need The Remote Wireless Monitoring System.With the development of computer technology,digital communication technology,network technology and embedded technology,remote video monitoringtechnology has been developing rapidly.The system we designed is a comprehensive use of all above technologies.Also it meet the demand of remote wireless monitoring.Its terminal equipment capture the smoke images,which transmitted to server program.It will be displayed and stored to PC.Then the program test the pollution level.System designed in this paper make SamSungS3C2440 ARM9 processor as a hardware platform.It also extended the USB camera device,GPRS module,Nand Flash,SDRAM,etc.We transplant linux operating system into the Nand Flash,capture pictures with USBcamera device,send SMS,MMS and picture datas with GPRS module.It makes a overall design at the first of the paper,provide the system design plan.Then build the linux operating system,including transplanation of bootloader,configuring and making the kernel,making the root file system.The development of applicatioin program includes terminal application program and PC program designed to receive image data.Terminal application program can include four modules:image capture module,sending SMS module,sending MMS module and transmitting image data module.The function of PC program includes image data reception,display and storage of the image.SMS and MMS module can be added to the terminal application work as a warning.when we get an image,it will tell the charger of the enterprise.It has been tested that image capture and wireless transmission and other function can be achieved .Our design can meet the demand standards.
