Recently, with the development of mobile communication technologies, GRPS and CDMA technologies are more mature. On the other hand, with the upgrade of computer software and hardware, embedded terminals are used in the various fields of life gradually, and the embedded mobile terminals are emerging in endlessly. Especially, the embedded communication devices based on GPRS/CDMA attract people's attention widely because of their low cost, easy-maintain and widely-used.According to the requirement of the network communications functions, the paper discuss the problems of theWireless Intelligent Terminal based on GPRS/CDMA, and then design such a system with full function by improving the correlative technology of network communications. This sysetm screens the difference among the ethernet network card, GPRS and CDMA. Additionally, the system solves the serial port multiplexing between the SMS and the wireless data traffic. It finally makes the operation of SMS and access Internet at the same time.Firstly, the paper introduces current research situation and developing prospects of embedded communication terminals home and abroad, and then expatiates on the important significance and key technologies of the project. Based on the previous introduction and information, the thesis presents the design and implementation of the network communication sysetm according to the requirement of the network commnicaitons functions in the Wireless Intelligent Terminals based on GPRS/CDMA. By debugging and testing, the results have proved that the system had provided with good function and achieved expectant aim. In the next few years, Wireless Intelligent Terminal will be universal in the various fields of life, network communications as an essential function of Wireless Intelligent Terminal will be more developed. Network communications system which is described in this dissertation provides some useful reference for the design of mobile terminal products in the future.
