Air compressor is a very important part of air source system in the metro and light rail vehicle which provides air power for the entire train braking and opening the doors. In the run after a certain time and mileage, the air compressor must be overhaul and after Maintenance the air compressor unit needs to meet overhaul regulation requirements. Air compressor test equipment is designed to test air compressor unit performance after maintenance.This paper is in response to these problems, and using HS-10 car air compressor group for the study. This paper is in response to these problems, and uses HS-10 type air compressor as the research object. We based on In-depth analysis of test content and requirements, and carried out innovative and exploratory research in test methods and control aspects of test equipment. This topic is not only an air compressor test equipment performance test system, but also is a compressor test operation control system. In which the performance testing can be done while running multiple real-time control.In this paper, to study and solve the major problems are systematic design of air compressor test equipment, design and produce control system hardware and software, and the stable pressure control problem of air compressor test; In order to improve the simplicity and maintainability of the compressor test equipment, the control and measure software programs of test were written on the industrial control configuration software platform.In the aspects of air compressor test equipment control system development, the following major aspects of the work were completed. Firstly, the general design of air compressor test equipment, requirements analysis, and implementation of electrical control system design. Secondly, organization and coordination of structural design and all contract manufacturing work. Thirdly, completed control software design and participated in the system debugging.The author completed the development of air compressor test equipment project, and has accumulated a certain amount of practical experience in develop the air compressor performance testing and test equipment. The overall design of the test device of metro and light rail vehicle maintenance equipment and manufacture has a certain engineering value.
