As an essential part of industrial automation systems, supervisory and control configurationsoftware is now widely used in various fields of modern industrial production. With large andcomplex software, supported by specialized hardware, the existing ones are not only inconsistentwith development tendency of control systems which is networking and opening, but also unableto meet the requirements of small and medium-sized or professional users. Combining withmetering pump network monitoring system, this paper proposes a low-priced, light weighted andcross-platform control configured solution, with certain actual meanings, which saves costs forbuying expensive commercial product.For the actuality that metering pumps typically cooperate to work in industry, this paperfirstly introduces an ethernet-fieldbus based remote monitoring system briefly, as well as relatedtechnical principles; then analyses the data characteristics in process industry and requirementsfor configuration software. After discussing with purpose, structure and function of configuration,an overall framework of supervisory and control configuration software is given, with a concreterealization of every functional module.The software contains two parts: data server and visualization platform. The former is ainteraction center of software and industrial field, responsible for analyzing, organizing,forwarding, storing, managing all data in metering pump system; the latter is a mainhuman-computer interaction interface and core of whole system, responsible for screensimulation of technological process, dynamic displaying of real-time data, etc.In order to improve software portability and realize cross-platform, the data server isdeveloped with Java, including communication, data analysis and exchange, data managementand other functional modules. Stability and real-time data is most concerned point. Monitoringconfiguration platform is developed with Qt, divided into node configuration, vector graphics,property configuration, operation configuration, policy configuration, focusing on realizinggraphical configuration system. To solve performance degradation of server causing by busy network, this paper proposes a scheme of ring object pool theory.Through the actual operation, the software is able to meet the expected demand formonitoring and running in good condition.
