Nowadays the quick development of computer technique, communication technique and control technique has penetrated into various fields, which has a great effect on the management and control pattern of industry production process in the traditional industries such as traffic, manufacture, electric power and chemistry and so on .The management of operating state in which equipments of the corporation is running and remote monitoring, remote control, fault diagnosis of remote equipments in the product process not only enhances the automaton of corporation and the maintenance management capability of industry equipments, realizes unmanned on duty , but also satisfies the amalgamation of information network and control, fits the development of centralized management control trend too. Just under the new development and application circumstances, this paper presents a remote monitoring and fault diagnosis system in the air compressor station based on Ethernet. This new kind of remote monitoring system realizes the remote monitoring of the operating equipments by the Ethernet, which can know and observe the operating state and various operating parameters of key equipments timely in order to manage and maintain equipments. Further, it can make equipments run longer, spare of much manpower and material resources and enhance the efficiency of work and management. Firstly this paper discusses the constitution and operating principles of the reciprocating air compressor and its electric control system; it discusses the technique of remote control, elaborates the network architecture in the air compressor station based on Ethernet, analyses the characteristic of real-time control in the industry process and the influence of the uncertainty and time-delay of network transmission on automatic control. With the system fault rules and intelligent model built by the exports control system, it can realize fault diagnosis and intelligent control of the air compressor machine's operating process. The paper discusses the composition, operating principles and realization methods of hardware. Later this paper specially introduces the soft design of system and the work in the development. In this section, it specially tells the following: the function and the whole structure of the system, configuration software, real-time database; the main realizing methods and steps of software; the design of system soft operating interface, the debug of system and the measures of guarding system security. At last it systematically summarizes and prospects. This paper discusses the research and implementation of air compressor station remote monitoring and default diagnosis based on Ethernet.
