Zhang Shizheng is a learned writer of the middle era of the North Song Dynasty. He was famous for much poetry and fiction of classical anecdotes, including Kuo Yi Zhi, Juan You Za Lu and Guai Ji. But he is neglected. Domestic and foreign scholars hardly pay close attention to Zhang Shizheng and his fiction at present. Considering this from academic circles, the wirter wants to explore Zhang Shizheng and Juan You Za Lu seriously, which can enrich the content of literature history and expand the research to fiction of classical anecdotes.This paper is divided into three parts. The first part is the foreword. This section gives general introduction about Zhang Shizheng, Juan You Za Lu, and research status, research significance, research methods of the thesis.The second part is the main body, that constitutes three chapters. The first chapter simply studys on Zhang Shizheng's career, birth and death years, native place and writings. The second chapter and the third chapter make collation and comments on Juan You Za Lu. In these two chapters, the author collected and added various versions of lost text, compared their similarities and differences, collated and annotated the text in detail.The third part is the conclusion. In order to show Juan You Za Lu's research value and significance, in this part the wirter discussed the literature value and historical value with social and cultural phenomenon reflected in this fiction.
