Wei Ye was a famous hermit in Song Dynasty. As an important poet of "Genre of Late Tang", he not only had possess a great reputation at that time but had far-reaching influence on later literature-creating.The clan of Qi Dan had ever had the emissary to beg his works. But academic circles put little emphasis on the study of Wei Ye's works all along. In fact, he made great contribution to the development of Song Poem. It is necessary and meaningful to arrange, collate and annotate the works of such an important poet.This thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is the introduction. In this part, the author has made a rough inquiry about Wei Ye's life,his outstanding and uncommon personality free from vulgarity . In addition, a detailed analysis of content, artistic characteristics and spreading of his works has been made,which has left common people a great spiritual fortune and given a lot of thinking to the world . The second part is the collation and annotation of his poems.Forty poems have been collated and annotated. It is an important point to give the meaning of the words or sentences that oan not be understood easily. During annotating, it's most difficult to indicate the source of the allusion in his works.
