was written by FanShu in late Tang dynasty, with its contents ranging from xuanzong(emperor xuan) to qianfu year of xizong(emperor xi). It mainly covers the anecdotes of scholars, consisting of 65 items with seven or eight tenths of which are poetry & dialogues. As one of the relatively-intact-preserved notes of Tang dynasty, it's believed to be more genuine since its perspective of contemporaries and wildly referred to by researchers. Zhaoyanwei's criticizes notes of Tang dynasty by a compound blend of history, poetry, comments, so truths were mixed with falsies. But we can still have a grasp on the real history if we go to the essence of the notes under its somewhat ridiculous surface.Based on and some pieces of < continuation of four collections >, this paper conducts a literal collation with SiKuBen & BaiHaiBen & TaiPingGuangJi. Apart from the correction of misuses of words, I concentrate on the logical coherence and clarification of contents. The paper comprises introduction and body. The introduction summarizes the researches FanShu had done and the variations through preservation, and the motivations & shortages of contemporary researches. Thus the prospect and aim of the paper are revealed. In the body text, aside of some words rephrases, I focus on the sources of the materials in the notes, correct and complement the details. In a word, what I do is: complementation & refinement & sourcing & authentication. In the hope of contributing my little efforts to the classification of old scripts of Tang Dynasty, I step forward on the fundamental work of literal & historical researches of notes.
