Archives management system of Shandong Xinglin Vocational College of Science& Technology is a set of comprehensive and networked college archives management software, following relative laws and rules of the national archives and computer information management. It includes the description of categories, subject indexing rules and standards, data exchange standard and electronic document storage standard etc, with strong flexibility, scalability, and security. In addition to its basic functions, this system can also expand its corresponding functions according to users' special requirements.This system uses C/S and B/S modes, and C/S is responsible for data collection and production, while the part of B/S mainly includes system management, file search, files retrieval, files checkout, files editing and research, files keeping, auxiliary filing, files design and data backup, combining both advantages of C/S and B/S.This system uses SQL Server database, supporting SQL Server, Oracle, Access, IBM DB2 database, and has good compatibility and expansibility regardless of the type of databases. Databases are all encrypted and conform to the state provisions of secrecy bureau. This system has good practicability, compatibility and expansibility, and processes the beauty of interface, standard terminology, easiness to use and operation, etc.This paper describes the software college archives management requirement analysis, system design and realization process. In the course of the realization of the archive management system, it uses.Net technology, XML technology, database access technology etc. It also makes a deep discussion on some technical difficulties and key techniques which exist in the implementation process.The thesis describes the need analyses, system designs and implementations of the files management system. A new college files management software has been developed using the theory of software engineering, database technology, and network technology, and analyzing the needs of the users on the business processes, system functionality and performance of files management software on the basis of the research of archives department.Currently, the system has been put into commissioning, with its system function running well, its applications flexible, and its interface friendly, and we have achieved the expected goals and improved level of archives management of Shandong Xinglin Vocational College of Science & Technology.
