Abstract/Summary:
With the rapid development of the global mobile market, the products of mobile terminal evolve in the direction of low power and multi-function. Thus, MIPI, which is the concise, efficient and compatible protocol of the next generation for the mobile application processor, will surely be applied in every mobile terminal. For this reason the design of the RF front end is required more than today.The MIPI interface and the Vramp signal, which is used in the power amplifier of RF front end to modulate power, are analyzed in the paper, and thus a highly-stable Vramp signal generator used in MIPI is designed with the EDA tool Cadence. The simulation validations in all conditions have been successful. The chip has been taped out after the layout is drawn. The circuit is based on the CMOS process from one of the leading foundries and consists of look-up table, DAC and filter. Considering the error of process and the wide range of work, which is from 3V to 4.7V and from -40°C to 100°C, the circuit still works well.
