With the development of technology, the demand for wider transmission bandwidth that between sensor and processor is become more and more obvious, And the traditional DVP(digital videao port) is become out of the date.The MIPI alliance is created just in this situation.It gives a general standard that both has high performance and terminal interface.what’s more its sub-protocol perfectly solves the hard problem that the high speed communication between sensor and prossor.Besides, it give a standardized,powerful,reliable,and low power consumption.MIPI CSI-2 uses difference signal lines,so it can ensure less external disturbance in high-speed data transmission. With the help of ECC and CRC the MIPI CSI-2 decrease the negative effect of the individual data.what’s more because it is belong to the MIPI protocol family,MIPI CSI-2 can easily compatible with other equipment that also use MIPI series protocol.This article detailed introduced the RTL implementation of digital part, the realization of the analog part of the physical part and analysis of the test. The design of RTL, error correction, and timing analysis are done in the linux platform.The realization of the overall dynamic test are done in the FPGA platform.Through such division we let every platform play a useful role in the whole design.More specifically,we make good use of the cooperation of modelsim and Verdi,so that we can give a detailed nanlysis of the process of the design.To ensure quality of the design,we use DC and PT to analyse our code.On the other hand, we can have a dynamic testing and a commercial receiver to let our result to be more authoritative and convincing.During our work we fully put the module thought into action. We not only achieve the requirements of the protocol, but also adapt to some pratical need.When we design the analog part of MIPI CSI-2 interface. I try my best to give a bold innovation.with my hard work, our design has passed the verification of the commercial MIPI CSI-2 reciever and I also learn a lot in the process.
