Management Of Access Points In Wlan

Driven by the telecom restructuring and Wireless City, WLAN market shows an unprecedented development of the situation. With the increasing size of the WLAN, intelligent network configuration management and user access management has become very important in the application of WLAN. These problems focus on the management of a large number of access point equipments themselves and the accesses by the users through them.The thesis relates the AP management project in the practical work, as well as analyzes the WLAN network architecture model, and focuses on several wireless APs control and management methods.Management of network equipments according to standard protocol is a mainstream. This thesis firstly implements the Simple Network Management Protocol(SNMP) to manage the APs basing on Embedded Linux OS and improves the demerits of SNMP. Because the channel distribution of APs is very important for the performance of WLAN, this paper designs a method for AP channels automatic management in AC. This thesis also proposes and designs a unique private protocol based on INSP centralized management for multi-APs in WLAN.
