Recently, the impressive success of the IEEE802.11WLAN technology has dramatically changed the role of the wireless connectivity provisioning. Born as a wireless extension of small office or home networks, today the WLANs are getting more and more popular as a large, even metropolitan, area networks. Sharply increased in the number of worldwide WLAN, it has become an inevitable trend of the development of the network. But,with the deployment of large-scale WLANs and the increasing in the number of the access point (AP) and the moving terminals, network presents intensive tendency, which cause some seriously problems, such as Co-channel interference, adjacent Channel interference, coverage holes, high load on some APs or low load on other APs, which Seriously affected network performance. To solve these problems, effective management of radio resources is a necessary work. However, if the iuiiction of Radio Resource Management (RRM) is realized in the system of AP, communication is necessary between each AP, which costly in the dense wircless network applications. and is difficult to achieve the global coordination function. But, Connected all the APs to Access Controller (AC) for centralized management, it becomes easy to achieve the function of Radio Resource Management in APs, which effectively enhance the performance of the WLAN network.First, this paper analyzed the problems which brought out by concentrated networks and there WLAN network architecture. Second, in order to resolve these problems, this paper researched the technology of radio resource management in the centralized WLAN network, which include channel allocation, power adjustment, load balancing, and proposed interrelated algorithm. At last, it realized the algorithm in specific project and tested them.
