C Language Programming is the base of computer subjects at vocational schools. It can not only improve students'ability of applying computer technology, but also lay the foundation for subsequent learning. However, it is common that students feel it "hard to learn" and teachers feel it "difficult to teach" the course of C Language Programming. Thus the author carried out the teaching method of "displaying based games (DBG)" and applied the DBG method to the C language teaching. The experience of DBG teaching method not only created the new concept and the new method of C language teaching, but also enriched the theory and practice of DBG teaching.Methods of survey research, literature study and case analysis are used in this article. The paper briefly describes the background, significance, current status, concepts definition and related theories of the research at first. Then, combined with the key points and the difficult points of the data description, process design, and algorithm of "C language programming ", the author tried to design three DBG teaching styles of "practice", "inquiry", "task-driven" with the support of the correlated theories and displaying a complete case of each corresponding chapter. In additon, the DBG teaching method was experimented by three lessons among computer majored students in two classes 09E01 and 09E02(experimental group and control group, respectively) at Haimen Vocational Education Center.The data was analyzed by professional statistical software SPSS. The author found that students in experiment group were more interested in the course of C Language Programming with DBG teaching method, and their elf-confidence and self-exploration was improved and their C language scores improved significantly, particularly in the students previously with lower grades. In the study, only the awareness of co-operation was similar between experimental group and control group.DBG teaching method in the "C Language Programming" courses is an meaningful exploration of teaching methods. The author hopes that it can bring some thoughts and inspirations to the majority of the education workers, and it can provide some reference for the theory and practice of C language programs teaching in vocational schools.
