Today's society is an industrialized society and information society, the traditional aquaculture also moving towards industrialization process. Industrialized aquaculture is far superior to the traditional methods with respect to quality and utilization of resources, it is a science and technology intensive methods. This paper is written to address data collection, control and communication issues on water quality information during the process of factory farming. We develop a set of aquaculture water quality monitoring system, which is practical, inexpensive, stable, reliable and easy to use.Currently, Internet technologies and wireless sensor networks based network of things technologies are booming progressively and changing human life. This paper creatively integrates wireless sensor networks and Internet technologies according to the production process, making the manager able to access the site via the Internet means in any place at any time and send commands to the wireless sensor network remotely to complete the on-site data collection, storing and on-site actuator control.Based on the above system design requirements, the paper has done the following specific work:1. According to the actual water quality monitoring in aquaculture, we choose the multi-layer star network as wireless sensor network topology method. Based on this topology we choose the frequency for wireless transmission and baud rate for receiving data.2. For multi-layer star network topology and data transmission requirements, in order to make the total amount of data as small as possible and make it contain as much information as possible, we re-design the default data packet structure of wireless data transmission based on wireless transmission chip CC1100.3. To improve the reliability and robustness of wireless network, we design multi-layer star network protocols, and self-re-networking protocol for failure circumstance.4. In order to minimize interference caused by signal with the same frequency, we designed data transfer protocol that goes with multi-layer star network topology. 5. We design the wireless node hardware and firmware according to the principle of reducing total costs and power consumption of the entire system.6. According to the analysis of system requirements, we design a database that meets the above requirements and implement wireless communication service program based on USB and database. We also adopt Struts, Spring and Hibernate technologies to implements a website system that meets the MVC(Model\View\Controller) structure.
