| With the speedy development of integrated circuit technology, the process of chip is shrinking and the scale of chip is expanding. At the same time, the requirement of chip function and performance become stricter. In this case, the complexity of chip constraints analysis is raising gradually. Simultaneously, it's more difficult to make the constraints convergent. So how to accurately and rapidly realize chip constraints convergence is the important problem of deep-submicron IC design. Basing on the development special fund project "Integrated Circuit Design of Revenue Fuel Dispenser's Control System" of Shandong Province's Information Industry Department, this paper systematically researches the principle of the chip constraints and takes the GVC (Gas Volume Controller) chip for example to do chip constraints analysis. Then, with the Synopsys ASIC design tools, this paper realizes the GVC's layout design, and introduces the constraints convergence methods and verification methods in detail.The main work in the thesis is as follows:1. Research on the chip's constraints principle and methods, and finish GVC's constraints analysis;2. Formulate GVC's compile optimization strategy, and in the constraints' function complete GVC's RTL code to netlist conversion;3. Realize GVC's layout design, include floorplan, placement, cts, route, and determine the constraints convergence methods;4. In order to improve the yield of chips for manufacturing, finish DFM to GVC design; To accurately calculate wire delay, make RC parasitic parameters extraction for GVC layout;5. Chip constraints convergence validation, include physical verification, static timing analysis, power analysis, IR-drop/EM analysis and equivalence checking.With Chartered 0.35 micron technology, this thesis completed GVC RTL synthesis to layout design. All the constraints of chip had been convergent, and chip was successfully taped out. Through verification, chip could realize control and data query function of revenue fuel dispenser's control system, improvd the deficiencies of current domestic revenue fuel dispenser's control system, and filled control chip blank of domestic revenue fuel dispenser. |
