According to Marxist theory, that everything has two sides. Advances in technology, society are developing constantly, while people's material life have greatly changed, on the other hand, it is survival of the environment is constantly contaminated, leading to a series of environmental pollution. Therefore, the world began to have concern about environmental pollution problems. United States, Britain, Japan, Germany and other developed countries began to explore and practice, then they have gradually formed their indoor air quality management model and management system and through the laws and regulations to safeguard,since the Dutch scholar Biersteke'views, that is indoor air quality is worse than the outdoor air quality, and through the laws and regulations to be protected. Since the 1990s, china has also developed the relevant norms and standards, but the study of indoor air quality has few in domestic and overseas. With a growing emphasis on the value of the archives, archivists and archive user pay attention to the health, air quality issues in archives repository cause the people greatly concerned.The air quality in archives repository is good or bad,not only related to the durability of the archives, but also affect large archives and the archives worker and user's health. This paper attempts to study indoor air quality's relevant contents to illustrate the importance of air quality archives repository.The use and preservation of archives are always in a specific environment.The air composition, the state and the changes of the components are affecting the performance of the archives and are important factors in the life of archives. This article aims to draw the first "indoor air quality standards," the qualitative analysis of archives repository, and then cite the impact of air quality factors, compared to the different evaluation methods of the scholars, select a kind of more suitable, easier method to create a method of air quality assessment model,and based on the model established which be chosen, to propose some opinions about the regulation of the archives repository's air quality.
