The Clinical Curative Of Combination Of Acupuncture Treatment And External Application Of Chinese Medicine In Treating The Shoulder-Hand Syndrome After Stroke

Objective:To evaluate the clinical curative of combination of acupuncture treatment and external application of Chinese medicine in treating the shoulder-hand syndrome after stroke, and provide more effective treatments and methods to cure SHS.Methods:Using randomized controlled single-blind study method,70 patients who were diagnosed as the SHS were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group, the treatment group is applied with acupuncture only, the control group with combination of acupuncture and external application of Chinese medicine. Both of thetwoacupuncturetreatmentarechosedjianjing,JianLiao, JianYu,BiNa o,FengChi,QuChi,ShouSanLi, WaiGuan, HeGu and AshiXue.5 days a course of treatment, each course interval of two days,4 course, that is20days in all.Index measures:before and after the treatment according to Modified Edinburgh-Scandinavia Stroke Scale (MESSS), evaluation of palm and finger function and coronary anatomy. Shoulder diseases therapy scores criteria to evaluate.Result:Two groups of patients after treatment in neural function defect: the total efficient rate was 94.3% in the treatment group,that was 82.9% in the control group. Scores determine in SHS:the total efficient rate was 91.4%, that was 80% in the control. Two groups totaleffectivenesscomparedallhavesignificantdifferences. (p<0.05)。The compare of nerve defect grade evalution.shoulder joint disease score and the hand function evalution are markly different (p<0.05)the electromyogram testing result before and after trentment is:the average movement conducting velocity is 30.9m/s before the trentment,whereas the 45.35m/s after treatment. By statistical analysis,t=3.07, p<0.01, the difference is markedly obvious before and after of the trentmentConclusion:Both combination of acupuncture and external application of Chinese medicine and acupuncture only showed some effects, butcombination of acupuncture and external application of Chinese medicine gave full play to rapidly and effectively control and eliminate local inflammatory reaction, alleviate pain thereby inhibit vicious cycle of the pain-sympathetic nerve erethism-abnormal blood vessel movement-pain, which can relieve the pain of the SHS, and create conditions for further further rehabilitation therapy on suffered limb.
