Clinical Observation Of External Application Of Traditional Chinese Medicine Combined With Acupuncture In Treating Shoulder Pain After Stroke

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of external application of Chinese medicine combined with acupuncture on post-stroke shoulder pain,and to choose a more effective treatment mode compared with routine acupuncture.Methods:62 patients with poststroke shoulder pain were divided into experimental group(31 cases)and Control Group(31 cases)by random number table method.The experimental group was treated by external application of traditional Chinese medicine combined with acupuncture,and the control group was treated by routine acupuncture.The patients in both groups received general medical treatment and rehabilitation training once a day,6 times a week for 4 weeks,4 weeks as a course.The main outcome measures were visual analogue pain scale(Vas),the secondary outcome measures were upper extremity motor function assessment(Fma)and modified Barthel index rating scale(Mbi).Results:There was no significant difference between the two groups in age,sex,stroke type,course of disease and left and right(p > 0.05)There was no significant difference in the scores of Vas,FMA and MBI between the two groups before and after treatment(p > 0.05),while the scores of Vas,FMA and Mbi were significantly lower(p < 0.05),after treatment,the difference between the experimental group and the control group was significant(p < 0.05),which showed that the effect of the experimental group was better than that of the control group,the effective rate was90% in the experimental group and 80% in the control group.The results of rank sum test showed that the effective rate of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group(p < 0.05).Conclusion:Both routine acupuncture and external application of Chinese Herbs Combined With Acupuncture Have Curative Effect on post-stroke shoulder pain,but the effect of external application of Chinese herbs combined with acupuncture is better than that of routine acupuncture.Therefore,external application of traditional Chinesemedicine combined with acupuncture treatment for post-stroke shoulder pain patients provides a more accurate and effective treatment program,can be widely promoted in clinical.
